WHAT IS PILATES?
Originally developed in the 1920's by the legendary trainer and founder Joseph H Pilates. Mr. Pilates designed more than 500 specific exercises using unique pieces of equipment to develop the body uniformly. He studied both Eastern and Western disciplines and combined the best qualities of both to form an ideal body conditioning program. These exercises require fewer repetitions but concentrate on highly precise movements, proper control and form.
